are we getting an extra moon, for a small time, because now more than ever we need help, reflecting light into the depth of the night?
will it feel good for the rock, after travelling alone through space to take a rest in the orbit of the earth?
for a small time, to have a sibling in our large old moon.
before being released into its trajectory once again, it’s path determined by happenstance and an unknowably complex, mathematic causation of creation and destruction.
I wonder if it will pass another planet in turmoil on it’s future journey or maybe one in peace.
I hope through this period we can rest in each others orbits when we need to, until it’s time to be released into a new future, and with the weight of each others magnetism and energy be held and propelled onwards.
sometimes I wonder if we were to have contact with an alien species if that would help to disrupt the absolute confidence and ruthlessness of the people in power. That feeling like small fry in the big universe would be enough to scare and shame them into fixing up the mess they have made.
anyway short of waiting for a benevolent alien race to help us, I hope we can lean on each other and push forward in whatever way we can.
hope to write a more astrology-focused report soon, hope everyone is doing okay
my recommendations,
candles, cleaning/fixing light switches, cleaning window to let in light.
sharing something with neighbours or friends
looking to plants and herbs, in cooking or tea. something that reminds you of someone or something, or a new plant you want to learn about.
acorns? mealy nuts, maybe because I’ve been thinking about Parable of the Sower, by Octavia E. Butler.
here’s an article about the “second moon”

I found this podcast insightful and useful, looking at grief in modern age and a broader grief we carry through witnessing modern events
“In Emily’s words, "Working with herbs for grief does not erase the causes of grief or the need for us to continue working towards collective liberation and justice, but hopefully, it gives us more fortitude and resilience to be able to do that." '
